Crafting a new strategy for the Patreon blog.

In 2017, I worked with Patreon to develop a new strategy for its growing blog. Up until this point, the blog was a dumping ground for any company news, updates, user profiles, product launches, and more. It lacked focus, needed a layer of SEO, and a long-term strategy that was consistent with the company’s long-term goals.

I worked with the Patreon team to turn the blog into a true publication with a clear focus. We created editorial verticals around Pateon’s core brand pillars, mapped keywords and trending topics to an editorial calendar, developed the editorial process from pitch to production, and created a body of valuable, relevant content that the audience wanted to read. We also added in a layer of SEO to further customer acquisition.
